Q: Do Triathlon Select automated scenes integrate with Control4, Josh.ai or other home automation platforms?
A: Absolutely. Lutron works with a number of third-party integration companies, including Josh.AI and Control4, and is constantly updating its functionality with other third-party partners.
Q: Does Lutron run on a WiFi signal?
A: Long story short, Lutron has its own "secret sauce." Lutron values quality and reliability above all else. To ensure their devices don't have to rely on any other technologies and to protect their quality, they have their own RF/wireless protocol, called Clear Connect.
To get technical, this protocol consists of two components: Type A communication, which utilizes a fixed repeater network operating at 434 MHz, and Type X communication, a mesh network using 2.4 GHz.
